CLAYTON UTZ advised Macquarie Bank Ltd and Macquarie Equities Ltd on its acquisition of a 51 per cent stake in OzForex Pty Ltd.

OzForex is an independent, online foreign exchange provider that operates dealing rooms in Sydney and London.

Clayton Utz advised on transaction and investment documentation, including the share purchase and shareholders’ agreements.

“The acquisition will allow Macquarie to offer tailored foreign exchange services to its substantial base of 670,000 retail financial services customers within Macquarie’s Financial Services Group. The deal will also fast-track global growth plans at OzForex,” said Clayton Utz team leader Jonathan Agar.

Agar’s team included Rod Halstead, Jim FitzSimons, Dean Jordan and Joelle Wales.
