Queensland general manager Karen Murphy said it was a “very good time” for a new hire to join the ranks of the growing legal team: “We welcome Katrina to the Toowoomba office where she is already bringing her experience and legal expertise to the role.”

Ms Pedersen started her career 30 years’ ago, working in a relatively small regional town as a legal stenographer. She has since worked in compensation law for 20 years.

“Assisting my clients to achieve a fair and just outcome during what can sometimes be a very difficult time in their lives is very rewarding,” Ms Pedersen said.

“I ensure I get to know them as people. More than just what’s happened to them, but what is important to them. I recognise that each client is unique in their own way and I strive to keep them informed at all times, so they feel valued and supported.”
