George Haros moves from Macpherson Kelley and brings with him a team of six, including senior associates William Marshall, Christina Tsakiris and Michael Harty.

The appointment comes at a time of rapid expansion according to the firm, which continues to broaden its sector and service capabilities across Australia.

Mr Haros’ appointment closely follows the appointment of industry veteran, Alex Ninis, who also joined from Macpherson Kelley in March with two of his team members and enhances DWF’s commercial law offering in technology law.

Commenting on the announcement, DWF Asia Pacific chairman Mark Hickey said: “DWF is well known within the industry and by its clients for its commitment to providing excellent service and it is this, along with our focus on delivering good client outcomes, which allows us to continue to attract clients and top talent.

“On behalf of the business, I’d like to welcome George and his team to DWF where their skills will augment and build upon our highly skilled team of national labour and employment law experts.”

Mr Haros is highly acclaimed in employment law and renowned for advising rugby star Israel Folau in his dispute with Rugby Australia. The firm said he has extensive experience in building businesses from scratch, providing a practical and enlightening perspective on the management of the employer-employee relationship, dispute resolution and commercial matters.
