Deal: Herbert Smith Freehills’ venture capital team has advised RDO Group on its Series Seed capital raise and corporate restructure.

Key players: The Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by partner and head of venture capital Peter Dunne and solicitor Myra Beal.
Deal significance: The round was funded by ImageSoft, Inc., a US-based technology company specialising in workflow solutions and court case management systems.
The partnership with ImageSoft will provide capital to enable the further development of the RDO platform and facilitate the company’s expansion into the US and Canada.
“Access to justice is an issue that is front of mind for lawyers. RDO is a great example of Australian technology gaining momentum on the world stage and tackling a global problem,” Ms Beal said.
“It was great to advise RDO on this transaction, which will enable the company to continue product development and expand into the US market and reach more customers.”
