Deal significance: The investment round was led by venture capital co-investors, Nightingale Partners and Phoenix Development Fund.

Aerologix provides app-based software to optimise drone technology through a network of drone pilots for specific engagements.

The company uses a patented algorithm and geolocation to match clients with skilled and qualified drone pilots in Australia and was conceived by two MBA graduates, former Qantas pilot Tom Caska and IT expert Rakesh Routhu.

Flight plans can be auto-generated and dispatched via Aerocloud flight management system. According to Aerologix, this will save time and money and ensure safety and efficiency of delivering on-demand drone data for the customer and seamless flight experience for the pilot.
