BigLaw firm Clayton Utz has advised Australian diversified agri-food business Harvest Road on its investment in ProForm Foods.

Deal: Harvest Road has invested in plant-based meat production company ProForm Foods as part of its “commitment to investing in the sustainable development of high-quality protein sources to meet rising local and global demand for plant-based protein”, Clayton Utz said in a statement.

Area: Corporate.

Value: Undisclosed.   

Key players: The Clayton Utz team was led by partner Mark Paganin and special counsel Stephen Neale, who were supported by lawyers Tyson Ginn, William Davies and Hannah Kim, partner David Benson and special counsel Sam Fiddian.

Deal significance: “ProForm Foods has invested more than $20 million in developing the taste and texture of plant-based meat to create products that replicate the experience of eating animal meat, with added health and environmental benefits, and a clean, short ingredient list,” the firm noted.
