Southern Palladium advised on dual listing

National law firm Thomson Geer has advised minerals explorer and developer Southern Palladium on its listings on the Australian and South African stock exchanges.

Deal: Thomson Geer has assisted Southern Palladium, a platinum group minerals explorer and developer, which has acquired a 70 per cent interest in the Bengwenyama Project in South Africa, on a dual listing on the Australian Securities Exchange and Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

Key players: The legal team at Thomson Geer was led by partner Sanushka Seomangal.

Deal Significance: There have been limited dual listings on both the Australian Securities Exchange and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange for Southern Palladium.

Ms Seomangal said: “We are thrilled to have supported Southern Palladium in achieving this milestone, which was a complex legal and commercial undertaking across both jurisdictions for the company.”

Southern Palladium director Rob Thomson described the Bengwenyama Project as a “Tier 1 major development opportunity in the making in the global PGM market”.

He said that “this successful listing marks a crucial step forward in the evolution of the Bengwenyama, which we view as one of the most exciting PGM projects globally”.
