Salter Brothers acquires Spicers Retreats
Australian-owned global fund manager Salter Brothers has been advised on its acquisition of the Spicers Retreats business.

Deal: Salter Brothers’ acquisition includes Spicers Clovelly Estate, Spicers Tamarind Retreat and Spicers Peak Lodge in Queensland, Spicers Guesthouse and Spicers Vineyards Estate in the Hunter Valley, and Spicers Sangoma Retreat in the Blue Mountains, as well as the “Spicers” and the “Spicers Retreats” brands and ancillary businesses (including the “Private Collection by Spicers” business).
The acquisition is likely to be completed in the first quarter of 2023, MinterEllison said in a statement.

Key players: The MinterEllison team was led by partners Joseph Pace and Alice Langham and included practitioners from the following teams within the firm: transactions, real estate, tax, funds, financing, IP and IT, privacy, litigation, workplace law, migration and insurance.
