Melissa Fenton and Candice Ingleton have joined Gilchrist Connell as principals, and Christopher Harrison has joined as a special counsel. All have come across from fellow national law firm Colin Biggers & Paisley.
The trio (all pictured) will be based in the firm’s Sydney office.
The news follows the firm’s hiring of four special counsel, as reported by Lawyers Weekly last week.
Firm managing principal Richard Wood said: “Melissa, Candice, and Chris’ appointment to Gilchrist Connell is an important milestone in our firm’s ongoing commitment to provide its clients with market-leading expertise in key areas of demand. Their skill sets significantly increase our capability in Sydney in particular.”
The firm’s chief people officer, Belinda Cohen, said: “Melissa and Candice’s arrival continues our dedication to achieving gender equality in our leadership. We are making great strides. Our executive is 50 per cent female and 50 per cent male, and 46 per cent of our partnership is female.”
