National law firm Lander & Rogers has elevated 44 senior lawyers in its 2025 promotions round, including 10 to the partnership.
Lander & Rogers has promoted 10 new partners, 15 special counsel, and 19 senior associates, effective from 1 July.
The new promotions bolster the firm’s insurance law and litigation, family and relationship law, corporate, workplace relations and safety, commercial disputes, compensation law, real estate and projects practices, as well as pro bono, community and environment.
Lynden Albiston, Annika Anderson-Carter and Adam Battagello have been promoted to partner within the workplace relations and safety team, Kate Alroe to family and relationship law partner, Alex Bannister to partner in the commercial disputes practice, Alistair Boughton, Kristy Cappellotto, Candice Day, and Andy Mansfield in the insurance law and litigation team, and David Burke to partner in the pro bono, community and environment practice.
In addition to the 10 new partners, two current partners have expanded their portfolios: Grant Levy is now partner and chief legal officer, risk, and Joanna Renkin is now partner and practice group leader, pro bono, community and environment.
Lander & Rogers also promoted eight across its business services and practice group support functions, including: Gemma Berkhout (senior paralegal), Larissa Breedon (client engagement manager), Pasarlay Ceyddique (cloud infrastructure and DevOps manager), Jona Christine (cyber governance analyst), Louise Hessell (practice manager, corporate), Monique Nguyen (legal assistant/team coordinator), Rebecca Oslar (innovation and process improvement manager) and Natalie von Muller (paralegal).
This news comes after the addition of partner Michael O’Callaghan in January and the hiring of two lateral partners for its real estate and corporate practices in late July last year.
The new special counsel at the firm are Lia Anderson, Emily Bowly, Asha Fielding, Brandon Hoffler, Fiona Karmouche, Adrian Lee, Katalin Lello, Kate Mellier, Samantha Monti, Rhiannon Noble, Olivia Ralph, Niki Schomberg, Shai Sommer, Georgina Taylor and Ashley Taylor.
The following have also been promoted to senior associate: Victoria Athanasiou, Aimee Brennan, Josh Burland, Rose Cavanagh, Jeffrey Chung, Sophie Donaghey, Jordan Eitler, Tamara Gugger, Juliana Hasham, Molly Hodgkinson, Grace Hurley, Andrew Jin, Gemma Kruger, Méabh Loughnane, Milyka McCutcheon, Victoria Mellor, Jessica Merola, Angus Rooney, and Sophie Timms.
Chief executive partner Daniel Proietto noted that the 2025 promotions were significant for the firm and congratulated the “leaders of tomorrow” on their new roles and their “energy, passion and ideas in continuing to create the very best experience for our clients, people and communities”.
