National law firm Moray & Agnew has unveiled its latest round of promotions, elevating 25 lawyers to more senior roles, with six of them being appointed to partnership.
Moray & Agnew has announced the promotion of 25 senior lawyers across its six offices located in Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, and Sydney.
The national law firm has elevated six of these lawyers to partnership positions, namely Alannah Dewing, Amanda Danti, Emma Petrie, Shaun Jackson, Erin Woodward, and Julie Ngan.
Dewing, who has been with the firm for over 12 years, has extensive experience in insurance litigation, particularly in areas such as personal injury, public liability, professional indemnity, and life insurance claims.
Danti also possesses a solid background in the insurance sector, overseeing matters in Western Australia and the ACT, including workers' compensation for Commonwealth and state employees, public liability, and industrial diseases.
Petrie also practices within the insurance litigation area, where she holds a particular focus on personal injury, public liability, and professional indemnity claims across Australia.
Jackson has been with the firm for over 17 years, bringing a wealth of expertise in areas such as health law, public and property liability, workplace accidents, and class action lawsuits.
Woodward, located in regional New South Wales, brings two decades of expertise in personal injury law. Her practice encompasses a range of areas, including motor accident claims, workers' compensation, public liability, and medical negligence.
Ngan completes the list of partner promotions and has expertise in property, corporate, and finance law, utilising her accounting knowledge to provide guidance on mergers, restructures, and capital raises.
This round of promotions also includes the proportion of five lawyers to special counsel (Alev Byrne, Andreanna Moschoyiannis, Lauren Stubbs, Madeline McDermid, and Wayne Perera), 11 to senior associate (Alexander Rago, Caitlin Radke, Bryce Crampton, Christina Segaan, Erica Walter, Feifei Shi, Matthew Hickey, Megan Sault, Michele Harrick, Randeep Muker, and Tahnee Virgin), and three to associate (James Lalios, Johanna Ellem, and Karan Patel)
These appointments will take effect starting 1 July.
Geoff Connellan, the national managing partner of Moray & Agnew, noted that the firm’s recent promotions highlighted its dedication to internal growth while acknowledging the talent and commitment of these lawyers.
“These promotions recognise the outstanding talent we have across the firm and our commitment to organic growth. Each of these lawyers has demonstrated excellence in their practice and a strong commitment to our clients and the firm,” Connellan said.
This news follows the national law firm's promotion of 17 of its lawyers to more senior positions at the start of the year, the appointment of a medical negligence partner to its Melbourne office at the end of December, and the addition of an insurance partner from Sparke Helmore in the same month.
