National law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth has added a dozen lawyers to its partnership, 11 of whom are internal promotions, with the final new partner having come across from a BigLaw rival.
Corrs Chambers Westgarth has appointed 12 new partners across four of its national offices.
The newly promoted partners at the BigLaw firm are Andrew Daidone (banking and finance, Sydney), Angela Morris (investigations and inquiries and commercial litigation, Melbourne), Daniel Byrne (commercial litigation and restructuring, insolvency and special situations, Brisbane), Isobel Fitzgibbon (commercial litigation, Melbourne), Kristian Cywicki (projects, Perth), Lucy Carter (corporate, Melbourne), Rachel Richardson (real estate, Sydney), Ronan Boothman (employment, labour, and safety, Perth), Timothy Bunker (commercial litigation, Brisbane), Tom Schinckel (restructuring, insolvency and special situations, Sydney), and Warren Scott (real estate, Melbourne).
These promotions are effective as of 1 July.
The firm has also hired Perth-based partner Jo Feldman from global rival Norton Rose Fulbright, where she served as a partner for almost three years. She joins Corrs in its arbitration and commercial litigation team and will be the firm’s head of trade.
Feldman’s start date at the firm was 9 June.
Speaking about the promotions, Corrs senior partner and chief executive Gavin MacLaren said: “We are delighted to welcome these talented lawyers to the Corrs partnership, and we look forward to their strong contribution as partners.”
The news follows the firm’s addition of five Melbourne-based partners in August of last year, all of whom joined from rival BigLaw firms.
