National firm Mills Oakley has promoted Jason Salman, Sarah Pick, and Yannis Vrodos to partner.

Chief executive officer John Nerurker welcomed them and highlighted their reputations and depth of experience.

“We are delighted to welcome Jason, Sarah and Yannis to Mills Oakley,” Nerurker said.

“Each brings exceptional expertise in their respective fields – Jason in complex financial restructurings and insolvency, Sarah in electricity and renewables, and Yannis in major infrastructure, energy and resources projects.”

Formerly from Ashurst, Salman has brought over 27 years of international and national financial restructuring and insolvency experience to Mills Oakley’s Perth office.

Salman is known for his expertise in transactions involving debt-for-equity swaps, especially those implemented via creditor schemes of arrangement and acquisitions via deeds of company arrangement.

Pick, who joins Mills Oakley’s corporate – energy, resources and infrastructure practice, joined from MinterEllison.

She has significant experience across all aspects of the electricity supply chain and has worked with retailers, generators, network service providers, as well as large entities entering into electricity generation and purchase arrangements.

Also joining the corporate – energy, resources and infrastructure practice, Vrodos is a project development and procurement lawyer who advised ASX-listed, private and government clients on globally significant mining, energy and infrastructure projects.

He also has extensive experience in advising lenders, financers, government and government trading enterprises, and investors.

Vrodos joined from Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer.

“Their appointments reflect our strategic focus on deepening our national capabilities across key sectors, and ensuring we continue to deliver market-leading advice to our clients across Australia,” Nerurker said.
