One of Australia’s largest legal and consulting firms has established a new AI advisory team to help its clients navigate AI and emerging tech.
National law firm MinterEllison has formed a new AI advisory team to help guide clients through the ongoing evolution of AI.
The team, led by partner and AI advisory lead Jason McQuillen, combines national legal and consulting expertise to offer multidisciplinary support across AI governance, data, cyber, procurement, and, of course, legal and regulatory.
It will also help clients define and implement tailored approaches to balance risk and reward around AI, as well as drive responsible AI adoption.
“Our goal is to help clients move forward with clarity and confidence. We understand that each organisation’s journey with AI is unique, and our team is uniquely equipped to support it – from strategy, to governance, to proofs of concept and implementation,” McQuillen said.
“We bring together the full skill sets of a leading law firm, enhanced by specialist consulting, and so we look at issues through multiple stakeholder lenses. Effective governance is a prerequisite for maximising the value of AI, and we can help clients on both sides of that equation.”
The firm has also released a practical guide: An AI Policy is Not AI Governance, which outlines seven imperatives for governing AI effectively and encourages organisations to move beyond isolated policies towards enterprise-wide frameworks.
