A consulting principal specialising in charities and not-for-profits, property, commercial, and education has joined Keypoint Law.
Joanne C. Grant will take on the consulting principal position at Keypoint following senior roles at Holman Webb, Makinson d’Apice Lawyers, and Sydney Catholic Schools.
As general counsel of the latter, Grant was responsible for the legal oversight of 147 Catholic primary and secondary schools.
Commenting on the appointment, CEO Warren Kalinko said Grant would “significantly strengthen” Keypoint’s support of communities within the charities and not-for-profits (NFP) and education sectors.
“The firm is excited to further its commitment to providing a comprehensive, full-service offering, led by exceptional lawyers with decades of expertise in these specialised areas,” Kalinko said.
Grant has worked with numerous clients across Catholic Church entities, religious orders, Anglican and other denomination bodies, as well as within education organisations, aged care facilities, hospitals, and a variety of domestic and international charities and NFPs.
She said she was “delighted” to join forces with Keypoint, which has over 80 consulting principles in over 25 areas of law.
“My commitment to the law and to assisting every valued client to achieve the best outcome for the legal issues they may face or for advice that they may require is absolutely fundamental,” Grant said.
