Global legal technology company Consilio has appointed a pioneer in e-discovery to the position of regional director for Australia.
Mark de Bruyn was appointed to lead Consilio’s strategic growth and client engagement from his new position as regional director of Australia, based out of the Sydney office.
On his new position, de Bruyn said he was excited to join Consilio at a time when the legal industry is “undergoing rapid transformation, particularly in the form of artificial intelligence”.
“Consilio’s global scale, innovation, and client-first approach make it uniquely positioned to support Australian clients navigating complex legal and regulatory challenges,” de Bruyn said.
With over 20 years of experience in legal technology and electronic discovery, de Bruyn has become known as a pioneer in e-discovery.
In 2010, de Bruyn co-founded NuLegal, a boutique litigation support firm that was used by law firms, corporate and government, which was acquired by a US-based global technology provider in 2017. de Bruyn has also held senior roles at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and served in advisory capacities across the legal tech sector.
The appointment strengthened Consilio’s ability to partner with Australian clients and offer tailored solutions that lean on deep industry experience, advanced technology, and a client-first mindset.
Managing director APAC & EMEA for Consilio, Drew Macaulay, said de Bruyn’s appointment signified an “exciting next step”.
“His track record of building trusted relationships and driving innovation in legal technology aligns perfectly with our mission to help clients navigate complexity with confidence.”
“We look forward to the impact he will make as we continue to expand our presence and deliver exceptional value to our clients across the region,” Macaulay said.
