The firm added Legora to its suite of AI tools, marking the next phase of its AI strategy and reinforcing its commitment to responsible innovation and the synergy between people and technology, it said.

It added that its AI ecosystem currently includes Microsoft Copilot and internally developed platform Lantern, which is transforming how legal and consulting professionals deliver client-focused outcomes.

MinterEllison managing partner and chief executive Virginia Briggs (pictured) said: “Our approach to AI is grounded in the belief that technology should amplify human judgement.”

“We’re investing in tools that empower our people to unlock broader thinking, accelerate delivery and elevate the value we bring to clients.”

The firm said this partnership marks a significant milestone in MinterEllison’s AI journey, reinforcing its position as a leader in legal innovation.

MinterEllison’s strategy is designed to deliver the outcomes its clients expect – powered by the best of human and machine intelligence, it continued.

“This is about enhancing expertise, not automating it,” Briggs said.

This news follows Axiom’s adoption of the platform in June, recent investments into AI tool Harvey by various law firms, including Arnold Bloch Leibler this month, KWM in May, and G+T in February, and Thomson Reuters’ release of its new generation of the AI tool, CoCounsel 2.0, last year.
