Mills Oakley has moved to bolster its expertise in its commercial disputes and insurance practices, with the appointment of three new partners.

Jonathan Ivanisevic and Chris Brodrick are the newest partners in the firm’s commercial disputes and insolvency practice, with the former bringing a “strong reputation” in commercial litigation, insolvency, and regulatory matters, and the latter being a “leading disputes and insolvency practitioner” with over 25 years of experience, with a particular focus on corporations’ law, property, finance, and trusts.

Ivanisevic and Brodrick will be based in the firm’s Brisbane and Melbourne offices, respectively.

Sarah Fountain has joined the firm’s insurance practice, bringing what the firm called a “strong track record advising on complex, high-profile matters” as well as her “strategic approach to navigating commercial and regulatory risk”.

Fountain will be based in the firm’s Melbourne office.

The appointment of the trio takes the firm’s partnership ranks across the country to over 175.

Speaking about the hires (all pictured), Mills Oakley chief executive John Nerurker said the trio’s arrival highlighted the impact of their respective expertise on the firm.

“These appointments show our growth strategy at work. We’re bringing in high-calibre partners to meet rising client demand, expand our national reach and deepen our expertise,” he said.

“With leaders of this calibre on board, we’re building for long-term success, strengthening our bench, and opening new opportunities for our people and our clients across Australia.”
