HFW has promoted four new senior associates across its Australian offices, alongside a further 22 across its international network spanning London, Hong Kong, Geneva, Paris, and Dubai

The latest round of promotions reflects the firm’s continued growth across its global network and core sectors, including aerospace, commodities, corporate and commercial, construction, insurance and shipping.

Effective 1 April, Taylor Crydon and Chelsea Woodward have been promoted to senior associate in Sydney, with William Lowes elevated in Brisbane and Andrew Shinnick promoted in Melbourne.

This news comes after the firm expanded into Brisbane operations with the hiring of a construction team from CDI Lawyers at the end of last year and the addition of a shipping litigation and international arbitration partner in early August.

Across its international network, the firm has also promoted Samantha Marigold Cash, Rhys Durbin, Audrey Hsieh, Roxanne Johnson, Alexander Jullienne, Shelby McGreachan, Dom Pereira, Joshua Prest, Alice Saunders, Tom Serafin, Geraldine Valenzuela, and Frazer Watt in London; Chloe Chow, Matthew Lam, Joey Sze, and Tony Wong in Hong Kong; Hermance Schaerlig in Geneva, Frédéric Creuset, and Constance Ollat in Paris; and Adela Ottermann and Junaid Tariq in Dubai.

Commenting on the promotions, Jeremy Shebson, managing partner, and Giles Kavanagh, global senior partner, shared that they recognise the contribution of lawyers across the firm’s international network, pointing to their technical capability, sector expertise and collaborative approach.

“We would like to congratulate our new senior associates on their well‑deserved promotions. These individuals demonstrate the technical excellence, sector expertise, and collaborative approach that underpin our culture at HFW,” the pair said.

“We are proud to support their continued progression as we continue to invest in the next generation of talent across our global network.”
