National law firm MinterEllison has bolstered its construction and infrastructure capabilities with the appointment of a partner from rival multinational firm Pinsent Masons.
Adam Perl (pictured) has joined MinterEllison as a partner in its projects, infrastructure and construction practice, based in the firm’s Sydney office.
Before joining the national law firm, Perl was a partner for rival multinational law firm Pinsent Masons, a position he held for over a decade.
Perl brings with him more than 22 years of experience advising on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects across Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific region.
His practice has focused on the procurement and delivery of complex projects spanning transport, energy and social infrastructure, with experience spanning major tenders, procurement processes, contract negotiation, project structuring, joint ventures, and intricate delivery models.
Cameron Ross, partner and head of MinterEllison’s projects, infrastructure and construction practice, shared that Perl’s appointment would enhance the team’s ability to advise on complex project delivery at a time of growing demand for expertise in the sector.
“Adam is a highly respected construction and infrastructure specialist and an inclusive leader with a strong track record advising on some of the most complex projects in the market,” Ross said.
“His experience across major procurements, PPPs and complex delivery models complements our existing practice exceptionally well.
“As demand continues to grow for integrated, end-to-end advice on large-scale infrastructure and energy projects, Adam’s expertise will be invaluable in supporting our clients and driving the continued growth of our practice.”
Reflecting on his new role, Perl expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with the team to help clients navigate increasingly complex projects, particularly as investment continues to rise in transport, energy transition, and social infrastructure.
“I am excited to be joining MinterEllison’s outstanding major infrastructure and construction team, underpinned by MinterEllison’s deep multidisciplinary offering,” Perl said.
“I look forward to working collaboratively with the team in supporting clients to navigate increasingly complex procurement and delivery environments, particularly as governments and the private sector continue to invest heavily in transport, energy transition and social infrastructure.”
