Gadens has strengthened its national partnership with the appointment of eight new partners across its four Australian offices in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.

The global law firm’s newly appointed partners span a diverse range of practice areas, including banking, competition and merger clearance, defence, workplace health and safety, real estate, restructuring and insolvency, and sustainability and social impact.

With the latest round of partner appointments, Gadens now boasts 117 partners across Australia.

In a statement, the national law firm shared the latest appointments form part of the firm’s broader growth strategy, which is focused on deepening expertise in areas aligned with client demand while strengthening its national footprint.

Mark Pistilli, chief executive and managing partner at Gadens, said the appointments reflect a deliberate and targeted approach to growth, with a clear emphasis on capability building in sectors expected to play a significant role in Australia’s near- to medium-term economic landscape.

“Gadens is growing with purpose; we are now a firm of 117 partners nationally,” Pistilli said.

“These appointments deepen our expertise in priority areas and strengthen our ability to support clients on complex, high-stakes matters in sectors that are critical to Australia’s economy in the near to medium term.”

Pistilli added: “Our strategy is clear: lead in our chosen markets and sectors, back our people to thrive and build a premium national brand. Our new partners each bring leadership, specialist depth and a strong alignment to how we work – clear, collegiate and client focused and in important areas.”

The newly promoted partners are Alex Biddulph (banking and finance, Perth), Brett Sangster (corporate, Brisbane), David Fleming (corporate, Sydney), Kiri Jervis (workplace advisory and disputes, Sydney), Megan King (sustainability and social impact, Melbourne), Rebecca Mercer (real estate and construction, Sydney), Shaun McNaught (real estate and construction, Perth) and Shelley Gepp (banking and finance, Perth).
