Moray & Agnew has promoted 14 lawyers across its national network, with the changes taking effect from 1 July 2026, further strengthening the firm’s talent pipeline and internal leadership ranks.

As part of its latest promotion round, the firm has elevated four lawyers to partner, five to special counsel, and a further five to senior associate.

The national law firm outlined that these promotions, spanning across multiple offices and practice areas, underscore its “continued growth and commitment to developing its people from within”.

The newly appointed partners are Lauren Stubbs (pro bono, Sydney), Robert Passas (insurance litigation, Sydney), Mark O’Sullivan (medical negligence and health law, Melbourne), and Marian Morton (litigation, Melbourne).

Having been with the firm for more than two years, Stubbs has been appointed Moray & Agnew’s first dedicated pro bono partner.

With over a decade of experience in the field, she has built her career in the social justice space, working closely with community organisations and not-for-profits, while also helping to coordinate and expand Moray & Agnew’s national pro bono strategy.

The national law firm has described Passas as a “highly regarded” defendant insurance litigation lawyer, with extensive experience spanning public and product liability, as well as workers’ compensation matters.

With more than 45 years of experience in the legal profession, O’Sullivan has been elevated to the partnership, bringing deep expertise in health and medical law.

His practice spans medical negligence defence, catastrophic injury claims, and disciplinary proceedings, underpinned by a long-standing reputation in the field.

Rounding out the new partner cohort is Morton, a litigation and advisory lawyer whose practice covers sensitive and often high-profile matters across both government and private sectors.

Her experience includes personal injury claims, administrative law disputes, royal commissions, redress schemes and institutional abuse cases, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed legal practice and strategic risk management.

Ian Denham, national managing partner at Moray & Agnew, expressed that these promotions highlight both the depth of talent across the firm and its ongoing commitment to developing clear, long-term career pathways for its people.

“These well-deserved promotions recognise the exceptional talent we have across our firm and their contribution to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients,” Denham said.

“We are especially proud to welcome Lauren as our first pro bono partner, a significant milestone for the firm, reflecting the importance of our pro bono practice and the positive impact it delivers to the communities we serve.”

The five newly appointed special counsel are Felicity Parkhill (health and insurance, Sydney), Bronti Ness (litigation, Sydney), Lucie Rundle (personal injury, Melbourne), Nicole Wroblewski (insurance, Melbourne), and Gillian Gehrke (government, Brisbane).

Melanie Dillon, Zan Bosman, Rosa Ciavarella, James Lazari, and Ben Grillo have also been promoted to senior associate roles.
