MinterEllison promotes 136 senior staff across Australia

Following its appointment of seven new partners, BigLaw firm MinterEllison has elevated 136 individuals to more senior positions across its national offices.

MinterEllison has elevated 136 staff across its Australian offices in a major promotions round spanning its legal, consulting, and business operations divisions.

The appointments include 17 special counsel, 44 senior associates, 67 associates, one executive director, three directors, and one senior manager across the firm’s legal and consulting practices.

 
 

A further three senior promotions were made within business operations.

The news follows the firm’s recent appointment of seven new partners across its M&A and capital markets, dispute resolution, infrastructure, construction, and projects practices earlier this week.

In a statement, the BigLaw firm shared that its latest promotion round reflects the “depth of talent” across the firm and its “continued investment” in developing future leaders to support clients.

The firm’s new special counsel include Anna Lyons, Ankush Chauhan, Chelsea Gordon, Emma Roberts, Ivan Li, Kate Dimes Letters, Anna Bowler, Melissa Wroe, Duncan Lomas, Yoni Garson, Christian Camilleri, Jason Hawe, Wendy Lim, Adam Gleeson, Albert Khouri, Bernadette McCabe, and Patrick Ritchie.

Speaking about the recent appointments, Virginia Briggs, CEO and managing partner of MinterEllison, noted that it reflects the firm’s talent depth and leadership pipeline, saying today’s lawyers and consultants will be key to supporting clients as the legal and commercial landscape continues to shift.
