Mills Oakley promotes 62, including 6 partners

BigLaw firm Mills Oakley has bolstered its senior ranks with a sweeping round of 62 promotions, including the elevation of six lawyers to the firm’s partnership.

Mills Oakley has elevated 62 professionals across its Australian offices in a significant round of appointments, further strengthening its senior ranks and leadership pipeline.

The latest promotions will see six lawyers elevated to partner, alongside the appointment of nine special counsel, 23 senior associates, and 24 associates.

 
 

The promoted lawyers will officially assume their new roles from 1 July.

The firm’s new partners include Alesha Burke (insurance, Sydney), Julian Grover (health and life sciences, Sydney), Robert Murphy (banking and finance, Sydney), Phoebe Pitt (commercial disputes and insolvency, Adelaide), Leah Pryde (insurance, Sydney), and Emily Wood (family law, Brisbane).

In a statement, the BigLaw firm stated the promotions span all practice areas and offices across its national network, reflecting what it described as the firm’s “depth of talent” and its ongoing commitment to recognising and developing high-performing lawyers.

Speaking about these appointments, John Nerurker, the CEO of Mills Oakley, said they underscore the strength of the firm’s talent pipeline and its focus on nurturing the next generation of leaders amid ongoing national growth.
