In announcing the promotions, managing partner Hanaan Indari said Carroll & O’Dea’s success over its 127-year history “is grounded in our ability to continue to rejuvenate and strengthen our leadership”.

“Our promotions continue that approach, and I am very excited that these appointments further demonstrate the firm’s ongoing commitment to renewal and regeneration at all levels of the firm’s leadership,” Indari said.

Of the 16 new promotions, 62.5 per cent are women.

The appointments, which are effective 1 July, “underline the shared commitment we have to excellence in client service and legal expertise”.

“Every one of these promotions reflects great personal achievement through dedication and hard work, and on behalf of the entire firm, I congratulate them on what they have accomplished,” Indari said.

Tim Grellman, an experienced employment law and workplace relations practitioner, was promoted to the partnership.

The new special counsel are Samantha De Freitas, Michael Deegan, Jackson Gilbet, Stephanie McLuckie, Sabrina Morell, and Jelena Prodanovic.

Zara Ali, Luca Circosta, and Isidora Keesing were elevated to senior associate.

At the associate level, the firm promoted Georgia Comans, Amelia Frisch, Sasika Jayasuriya, Matilda Lynch, David Nair, and Jacqueline Pearce.
