| Mallesons is advising Microsoft on the Australian competition law aspects of a proposed internet search transaction. JWS is acting for Yahoo! Inc on the deal. Under the terms of the agreement, which has a 10 year term, Microsoft will be the exclusive licensee of Yahoo!'s core search technologies, Microsoft's Bing will become the exclusive algorithmic search platform for Yahoo! sites, and Yahoo! will become the exclusive worldwide sales force for both companies' premium search advertisers.
