Mallesons Stephen Jaques has advised US investment bank Greenhill & Co on its acquisition of Australian financial advisory group Caliburn Partnership, valued at $US200 million ($216 million).

Melbourne-based team leader Joshua Cole said working with Greenhill was a fabulous experience.

"Greenhill has an impressive culture. We were able to work seamlessly with this client, even though we are based in Australia and they are located in New York," he said.

"At all points during the transaction the Greenhill team was measured and genuine in their approach. We very much enjoyed working with them."

The Mallesons team included M&A and tax lawyers, including Joshua Cole, David Friedlander, Sarah Turner, Catherine Debreceny, Adrienne Caithness, David Wood and Jason Barnes.
