Lawyers from across numerous disciplines have driven Nestlé Australia's Purina PetCare division's acquisition of pet accessories company KraMar.

Mallesons acted for Nestle on the deal, while Dibbs Barker acted for KraMar.

Practitioners from the firms' intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions and competition areas combined forces to complete the deal.

Mallesons' M&A partner Michael Barker said the deal is a continuation of Nestlé's progression in the pet care industry.

"The acquisition extends Nestlé's Purina PetCare business following its previous acquisition of Supercoat petfoods, on which we also advised the client," he said.

Key players in the deal included Mallesons' partners Michael Barker, Katrina Rathie and Sharon Henrick, and lawyers Adrian Slack and Tamara Hunter, and Dibbs Barker partner John Reen.
