Clayton Utz has announced it is advising Hong Kong-based Noble Group in relation to its acquisition of a

 
 

$58.8 million stake in Aston Resources and the long term coal off-take agreement from Aston's Maules Creek mine.

The Clayton Utz team includes energy & resources partners Stuart MacGregor and Rory Moriarty, and equity capital markets practice head Stuart Byrne.

Clayton Utz is also representing Noble Group on the sale of its interest in the Middlemount Joint Venture to Gloucester Coal Limited, as well as representing Noble in relation to its takeover bid for Gloucester.

Aston Resources' listing is expected to raise approximately $400 million.
