Allens Arthur Robinson has advised the Victorian Department of Transport on the procurement of 50 new low-floor trams for the state's expanding public transport system.

The procurement is part of an $807 million investment by the Victorian Government, which will include a new tram maintenance and storage depot at Preston.

The Allens team, led by partner Paul Kenny, worked on all aspects of the procurement, including advising on the tender process, drafting key acquisition and maintenance documents, negotiating agreements with the successful tender partner and advising on the arrangements under which the new trams will be made available to Yarra Trams, advised by Minter Ellison.
