Allens Arthur Robinson has advised receivers and managers KordaMentha on the sale of the assets of FreightLink Pty Ltd, Asia Pacific Transport Pty Ltd and related corporate entities (together FreightLink) to Genesee & Wyoming Inc, advised by Mallesons Stephen Jaques, for $332 million.

FreightLink owns the Adelaide-to-Darwin railway.

Allens partners Richard Gordon, Vijay Cugati and John Warde worked with senior associate Tim Robinson and lawyers Clare McNeill and Michael Scarf to advise KordaMentha on the transaction.

"Coming out of the global financial crisis, we are expecting to see more restructuring and investment-related infrastructure transactions," said Cugati.

"Along with agriculture and energy and resources, this is one of the busier corporate and restructuring sectors at the moment."
