Norton Rose has acted for Zetkin Group in an agreement under which Zetkin will be acquired by AMEC Australia, advised by Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

Zektin Group provides specialist engineering and architecture consultancy to the oil and gas, pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets.

A total cash consideration of $48 million is payable for the acquisition. Of this total, $37 million will be paid at completion, with the balance to be made over the next two years subject to certain performance milestones.

Norton Rose partner Robert Sultan, who worked alongside senior associate Jyoti Singh, said of the deal: "The acquisition provides the founders of Zektin with an opportunity to realise value for all their hard work in building up the business and to work with a large multinational company going forward."
