Thomsons helps merge printing business

Thomsons Lawyers has advised on the creation of a newly merged printing business

Deal: Landmark demerger, reverse takeover and new listing on ASX

Value: $80 to $100 million (market capitalisation of merged printing group)

Key players: Sydney partner David Zwi led the Thomsons corporate team together with senior associate Marc Wyld, associate Helen Jin and lawyer Bernardo Wood.

Deal significance: The demerger and reverse takeover will enable McPherson's to focus on its core consumer products business. The newly-created merged printing business will benefit from synergies between the McPherson's and Opus printing businesses.
