Are there projects you could be involved in that would give you interaction with senior management?
Or expose you to working in different multidisciplinary teams? Or give you more experience on complex legal and commercial issues?
This is a great way to further develop your commercial acumen, obtain practical experience and increase your profile within the organisation.
Other options include being involved in the development and implementation of compliance, audit and/or training programs or exploring the possibility of undertaking a secondment to a different area of the business.
More often than not these opportunities present themselves when you connect with internal clients, particularly those you may have not spoken to for a while.
