In order to best sell yourself to a prospective employer, it is important that you have clear in your mind the reason you are looking at a particular position. Money shouldn't be the only reason.

It goes without saying that preparation is key before an interview, but it's your CV that gets you to the interview so make it clear, detailed and accurate. Spell check twice, include relevant deals/matters you have worked on - including specific advice or documents you have drafted. Once you have your CV in place, carefully research the firms or company you are interested in.

Finally, whether you interview with an agency or a partner, it is important to be enthusiastic, clear and ask questions. Although you need to sell yourself, they need to sell themselves to you too.
