Allens is a Sydney-based corporate and commercial law firm established in 1822 which is now considered as one of the big six Australian law firms as well as one of the largest in the Asia Pacific.
Chambers Asia-Pacific selected Allens as the “Australian Law Firm of the Year” for 2017, as well as naming the firm as an elite band tier one firm in their 18 practice areas and jurisdictions in the 2018 Chambers Asia Pacific rankings. This includes 15 tier one ranked practice areas in Australia, 2 tier one ranked practice areas in Vietnam and the only ranked tier one firm in Papua New Guinea.
In May 2012, Allens and London-based multinational law firm Linklaters formed an integrated alliance to operate joint ventures in Asia. The two firms remain financially independent in spite of the arrangement.
