BANKING AND insolvency specialist Alex McLean has joined Minter Ellisons office in Perth.

Previously of Corrs Chambers Westgarth, McLean has been appointed partner at the firm. With more than a decade’s experience in the Perth market, McLean has represented major financial institutions in significant matters involving Western Metals, Joyce Corporation, Sons of Gwalia, Harvey Beef and Westpoint Corporation.

“Businesses today face the prospect of litigation from a whole range of sources,” managing partner, John Poulsen said.

“[McLean’s] strong litigation experience and broad range of dispute resolution skills further strengthen our ability to effectively deal with clients’ commercial disputes and achieve the best outcome for them, [both] in the courts and through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.”

McLean is the newest member of Minters’ 10-strong dispute resolution team in Western Australia, servicing clients in both the public and private sectors.
