NATIONAL COMMERCIAL law firm, Home Wilkinson Lowry (HWL), has appointed two new partners, Kathy Minter and Virginia Waterhouse, to its fast growing Brisbane practice.

With the two women now on board, the Brisbane office can now boast six partners in its corporate advisory division.

Minter specialises in intellectual property and pharmaceuticals. She said she is delighted to join a firm renowned for the infectious enthusiasm and pride of its people engaged in all fields of corporate and commercial law across Australia.

“HWL has a solid team approach and a sound and dynamic strategy for growth,” Minter said. “I am excited to be part of its future.”

With extensive experience in the capital markets area, Waterhouse specialises in acquisitions and disposals, capital raisings, takeovers, corporate reconstructions and general corporate law.

“HWL is aggressive in its approach to business development and, importantly, the firm is not confined by state boundaries,” Waterhouse said.

“This approach is already paying dividends. HWL is securing the best work from high level clients and I very much look forward to being part of the highly proactive team in Brisbane.”

Managing partner, Juan Martinez, said the appointments added depth to HWL’s national profile and commercial expertise.

“The new partners will enhance our growing reputation as the law firm of choice for Australian businesses,” Martinez said.
