Freehills has welcomed the return of Vinh Huynh, who returns to the firm as a senior associate in the Melbourne office.

“It’s great to be back at Freehills and I look forward to working with the securitisation partners and clients,” Huynh said.

Appointed as a senior associate, Huynh’s securitisation expertise will strengthen the banking and finance group.

Huynh rejoins Freehills from Moody’s Investors Service where he worked in the residential mortgage-backed security (RMBS) team, rating mainly Dutch and UK non-conforming transactions. Prior to this, Huynh spent about four years with UK firm Clifford Chance, working in the securitisation department predominantly involved in commercial mortgage-backed security (CMBS) and RMBS transactions acting for both issuers and arrangers.

Having first joined Freehills in 1999, Huynh left the firm in 2001 before returning this year.
