Heather Watson has joined McCullough Robertson as a senior lawyer in their aged care and retirement living group, which is headed by Tim Longwill. The firm hopes to develop her skills in this area, especially within the not-for-profit sector.

According to Longwill, Watson’s “reputation and professionalism speaks for itself. Her experience and expertise will prove invaluable to our clients”.

Watson promised to “endeavour to service [the firm’s] not-for-profit clients with practical advice and original solutions to assist them through any industry crisis, and help them achieve their objectives”.

“This opportunity enables me to increase my knowledge and understanding of the industry while developing my particular interest in the not-for-profit area, which includes studying for my Master of Business Administration (MBA) focused on philanthropy and not-for-profits,” she said.

Watson’s previous experience includes 23 years in Townsville and Brisbane with Roberts Nehmer McKee, including 17 years as a partner. She remains a board member of UnitingCare Queensland, the organisation responsible for the activities of Uniting HealthCare, Blue Care and Lifeline within Queensland on behalf of the Uniting Church.
