Middletons has appointed Jim Lennon as a special counsel to the firm, and Alison Pitty as a new senior associate. Both work in Middletons’ technology team. Lennon joined Middletons in April 2000 as a senior associate in the technology and telecommunications group, having started his career at Minter Ellison in Brisbane. Pitty has joined the firm’s technology commercialisation team after nine years commercial IP experience in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Tasmania at Mallesons Stephen Jacques and Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

David Radcliffe Ford has joined personal injury firm, Keddies Litigation Lawyers, as special counsel. The move to Keddies will enable Ford, who was previously with Abbott Tout Lawyers for 16 years, to further develop his practice in plaintive personal injury. Ford has 26 years experience in major personal injury law and is an accredited specialist in the area. He is a CARS assessor for the NSW Motor Accident Authority and has received many referrals from the Protective Commissioner for NSW throughout his career.

Truman Hoyle has appointed two new partners and their teams. According to the firm, Fiona Inverarity is regarded as one of Australia’s leading industrial and employment lawyers. She joins Truman Hoyle from PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal. Joining her team is lawyer Karen Bohm, a former University Medalist from the University of Wollongong and most recently with a leading firm in London. Mark Vincent joins the firm as a partner heading up the technology and intellectual property practice. He was most recently managing director of Griffin Vincent Technology and Intellectual Property Lawyers.
Melbourne law firm Russell Kennedy has appointed Kent Davey as partner. He has joined the firm’s corporate and commercial team and has more than 12 years experience advising clients in the areas of information technology, e-commerce, privacy, telecommunications and intellectual property law.
