Francis Abourizk Lightowlers, the Melbourne and Brisbane-based commercial and technology firm, has recently appointed senior associate Grant Howden. He previously worked at Allens Arthur Robinson and leading New Zealand law firms. Michael Jones has been appointed as a solicitor and has extensive experience in commercialising technology from his work with New Zealand firm Norris Ward McKinnon and Ag Research.

Trans-Tasman law firm, Minter Ellison Rudd Watts, has added more senior legal experts to its fold — one partner, one special counsel, and two senior associates. Christopher Young joins the Auckland office as partner and head of the intellectual property team, with Michael Wilson joining the Wellington office as special counsel, public law. Auckland lawyers Helen Andrews and Jeremy Muir have been appointed senior associates in the resource management and corporate teams respectively.
