Consilio has expanded its regional footprint by integrating with Australian e-discovery and e-litigation provider elaw, strengthening its presence in the Australian and New Zealand legal market.

The global legal technology company shared how this move builds on its established presence and technology infrastructure in Australia, while significantly increasing its local delivery capacity for clients.

With an existing operational base in Australia, Consilio explained how bringing elaw into the business will broaden its expertise across government, corporate and legal markets, enhancing its capacity to manage complex matters across Australia and New Zealand.

For regional clients, the company highlighted that the integration will improve local support and expand access to AI-driven e-discovery and document review services, while leveraging its broader global network of legal solutions.

Consilio emphasised that, through this integration, its global clients will gain a “stronger regional delivery hub”, providing seamless cross-border support, follow-the-sun delivery models, and consistent service across multi-jurisdictional matters.

Both Consilio and elaw emphasised that the two companies are working closely to ensure a seamless integration and uninterrupted service for their clients.

Drew Macaulay, managing director for EMEA and Asia-Pacific region at Consilio, said the move reflects the company’s commitment to growth in Australia and New Zealand, highlighting how combining local expertise with global scale and technology enables smarter, faster, and higher-quality service worldwide.

“By combining strong local expertise with Consilio’s global scale and technology, we are delivering meaningful benefits to clients both in the region and globally through greater capacity, deeper insight, and consistent, high-quality delivery across borders,” Macaulay said.

Monica Dunne, chief operating officer at elaw, explained that joining a larger global platform would give clients access to deeper resources and broader reach, while opening exciting new growth opportunities for the team.

“Joining Consilio gives our clients immediate access to deeper resources and strengthens our ability to deliver consistently across Australia and New Zealand, with the benefit of Consilio’s global delivery network when matters cross borders,” Dunne said.

“For our team, it creates new opportunities to grow with a larger platform and serve global enterprises and law firms, without changing the local expertise and service our clients rely on.”
