A Sydney lawyer specialising in technology, science, and industry has been promoted to partner as part of Pinsent Masons’ 2026 promotion round.
Emma Lutwyche was elevated to partner from special counsel as part of Pinsent Masons’ promotion round, which also saw the promotions of 16 UK partners, five in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and one in Singapore.
Lutwyche specialises in employment and industrial relations, equality, diversity and inclusion, and business protection.
She has also conducted workplace investigations into misconduct, grievances, and whistleblowing complaints, and has advised on equality initiatives and plans to eliminate sexual harassment in the workplace.
Commenting on the 2026 promotion round, Pinsent Masons senior partner Andrew Masraf said the elevations have recognised “the talent shaping the future of our business”.
“As we develop a truly global business in both outlook and operations, this year’s promotions show the strength, ambition, and diversity of talent we have across the firm,” Masraf said.
“Each new partner brings deep technical excellence, commitment to collaboration, and the ability to help clients navigate their most complex challenges amidst fast-changing global markets.”
Asia-Pacific head James Morgan-Payler said the latest promotion round reflects the “clear opportunities” for growth across the region.
“Our clients in the infrastructure, energy and technology, science and industry sectors are navigating a number of challenges, ranging from regulatory fragmentation to economic pressure – both domestically and globally,” Morgan-Payler said.
“Clients require expert, regionally grounded advice and support to weather these conditions.”
He added that Lutwyche has added “further bench strength across multiple sectors to help clients contend with these challenges”.
