Carter Newell is preparing for an uptick in property work after today announcing that former Stubbs Barbeler partner Peter Nugent will join its commercial property team as a special counsel.

According to Carter Newell CEO Dr Peter Ellender, Nugent is well placed to service the needs of the firm's property clients given his experience in master-planned, strata and community developments, and considerable experience in mixed use developments.

His major areas of practice include joint venture agreements across commercial, residential and industrial projects as well as advising on planning development issues.

We're evolving — and so should your insights. Heads up — Lawyers Weekly is going premium from 1 May for just $5 a month. Stay informed without missing a beat. More information coming soon.
