Freehills has promoted Steve Smith to partner in the firm's Brisbane office.

Smith advises large corporate and government clients on industrial relations strategic planning, enterprise bargaining, industrial dispute resolution, industrial and employment risk management, workplace investigations, termination of employment and general employment matters.

His promotion is effective January 1.
