Minter Ellison has reaffirmed its commitment to China through the appointment this week of a new chief representative in the firm's Shanghai office.
Yi Yi Wu will take the reins of the job, having practised in both China and Australia, with a varied background in M&A, foreign director investment, corporate finance, real estate and employment.
Her experience also covers management, because she once worked as the head of legal and associate general counsel for InterContinental Hotels in Greater China.
Minter Ellison's managing partner for international, Mark Green, noted in a statement that China is a key market for the firm, with a new office to open in Beijing in the coming months.
"Our focus is on strategic positioning and alignment with capital flow and Yi Yi has the skills and experience to assist our business in China, especially assisting domestic and international clients with their inbound and outbound investment legal needs," he said.
