Simon Rear will return to Corrs Chambers Westgarth, as senior associate, after leaving Herbert Smith's London office where he worked on private and public M&A, equity capital markets and general corporate advisory work.

Rear's experience includes advising the underwriters on Rio Tinto's $US15.2 billion ($17 billion) rights issue, involvement in fund-raising by listed companies and acting on many rights issues and placings in 2009.
Tanya Ross-Gadsden also joins Corrs, as senior associate, from Denton Wilde Sapte LLP where she worked in the London and Moscow offices. Ross-Gadsden is a banking and finance specialist with particular expertise in secured and unsecured lending, property finance, trade finance and project finance.
