South-Australian law firm Kain Corporate and Commercial Lawyers has appointed former Lifeplan general counsel, Adam Cooper, to its corporate team.

As general counsel and company secretary at the funds management company, Cooper provided advice to the board and management on legal and governance issues and played a key role in Lifeplan's recent merger with Australian Unity.

Cooper has over 20 years' experience as a senior corporate lawyer within the funds management and financial services sectors and is currently the deputy chair of the Law Council of Australia's financial services committee.
