Freehills partner Bronwyn Lincoln has received a rare honour by being appointed as councilor of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) Asia Pacific Users Council.

An experienced international arbitration practitioner and graded arbitrator, Lincoln will join many of the world's leading alternative dispute resolution practitioners on the council, which has over 1600 members from 83 countries.

Lincoln said she is honoured by the appointment, which comes as the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

"I am thrilled to be recognised by the international arbitration community in this way," said Lincoln.

The LCIA is one of the longest-established international institutions for commercial dispute resolution and provides a forum for dispute resolution proceedings, regardless of location or system of law.

The appointment comes as another feather in Lincoln's cap, adding to her membership of the Attorney-General's International Legal Services Advisory Council, Arbitral Women, and the Australasian Forum for International Arbitration.
